FALL MINI SESSIONS

NOVEMBER 7     |    ROCKVILLE, MD


Each session is 20 minutes long and includes 20 digital images of your choosing. The location is a park in Rockville, MD! These sessions are perfect for couples, families, maternity, anniversaries, or head shots! These sessions are not suitable for large, extended family portraits. Groups should be no more than 8 people.


What Should We Know?!

  • How does this work?  
    We do your mini session!! Then within 3 weeks of the session, you'll receive the finished gallery of 20 digital images. The images in will be edited, non-watermarked, save-able, and printable. Prints and physical products (framed images, albums, holiday cards) are available for purchase through the gallery.

  • Will you be providing props?
    No, I will not have props as I prefer to have each session feel unique to the people I'm capturing. I do provide posing guidance, so you'll know exactly what to do, but I won't have a set up. Feel free to bring blankets or items to make the session uniquely yours - but give me a heads up if you're going to do so!

  • What should I wear?
    Before the mini sessions you'll receive a preparation email to help you select outfits that will look amazing on camera!

  • Can we choose our own location?
    The location is pre-determined for mini-sessions. If you're looking for a more custom session, send me an email and we can plan the session of your dreams!

  • How do we book?
    To book your desired time slot, you must make a full payment of $200.

  • What else should we know?
    - In order to stay on schedule, please arrive 5 minutes early. If you arrive late, it will cut into your session time. I will be sending out detailed location information before your session (be sure to check your email address and spam folder!)
    - A model release will be presented before/after your session - you may choose whether to sign or not sign (a signed model release gives me permission to use images on my website/blog/social media)!
    - In case of crummy weather, the rain date is November 14.

1. Pricing Payments: $200 session fee is required as non-refundable payment to secure booking. Fee is based upon a photographic mini session for up to eight individuals and delivery of 20 digital files.

2. Cancellation/Rescheduling: There shall be no refund of payment after reservation of the photography date. Once a balance is paid, it is non-refundable. Any other arrangements shall be discussed between the Client and the Photographer. Cancellation must be in writing even if a phone call was made to inform the Photographer of the cancellation. In the event that the client(s) can no longer use the mini session purchased, they may sell it to another person/family but only for the date and time selected.

3. Session: The creation of images is at the sole artistic discretion of the Photographer. Client acknowledges that the photographer is using her artistic discretion to create photographs as the photographer sees fit. Client understands that the mini-session is a 20 minute portrait session. The photography schedule and selected methodology are designed to accomplish the goals and wishes of the Client in a manner enjoyed by all parties. Client and Nikki Schell Photography agree that cheerful cooperation and punctuality are essential to that purpose. Shooting commences at the scheduled start time.

4. Images: 20 digital images will be processed and available with the mini session price. Expected turn around for edits is 3 weeks. Nikki Schell Photography will provide detailed printing instructions. To ensure the best print quality, avoid altering the images before printing. The photographer is not responsible for printing errors or for quality of prints or products printed elsewhere. Extra digital files are available for purchase at $15 per image.

5. Limitation of Liability: In the unlikely event that all of some of the photographs fail to materialize or there is total photographic failure due to reasons beyond Nikki Schell Photography’s control, the liability of Nikki Schell Photography will be limited to the refund of all money paid. In any event, the limit of Nikki Schell Photography’s liability shall not exceed the Package Price.

6. Modifications. If the client has a request for a small alteration of an image, please let the photographer know when you receive your gallery. The photographer can address minor changes at no cost (fix blemishes, tighter crop, etc.), but more involved requests are billed at $12/image. The photographer will let you know if there will be extra charges before work begins. Once the requested changes are made, charges apply regardless of whether the final product is purchased.

7. Re-shoots / Refunds. Re-shoots are determined at the discretion of the photographer. Re-shoots and refunds will not be given for poor choices of clothing, make-up, hair, or weather related issues, or by not following the recommendations of the photographer.

8. Final Product. Client shall not screen shot or capture the photographs in any other fashion outside of downloading through the gallery. This guarantees the highest quality images.

9. Photographer’s Standard Price List. The charges in this agreement are based on the Photographer’s Standard Price List. This price list is adjusted periodically and future orders shall be charged at the prices in effect at the time when the order is placed.

10. Copyright Laws/Print Release. Nikki Schell Photography retains the copyright on all images. The Client will receive a print release allowing print copies to be made. Under no circumstances, can a client use these images for profit, commercial endeavors, professional display, or in competitions. NOTICE OF COPYRIGHT: It is ILLEGAL to redistribute these photographs for profit or use other than private consumption without the photographer’s permission, and violators of this Federal Law will be subject to its civil and criminal penalties.
